Dog day, not just for dog owners. In order to form an attitude, in order to ensure the peaceful coexistence of dog keepers and those without a dog, the local government will organize a dog day in the Gesztenyés kert (Chestnut Garden) on 8 th May from 10 am. The programs include a dog show, a dog-owner test, and those interested can also get acquainted with agility, mantrailing and dogathlon is as well.

Flowers as a gift. In order to make our environment floral and pollen-friendly, the Hegyvidéki Municipality presents the residents of the 12th district with 10 annual flowers - sweet alyssum, marigold and mealycup sage seedlings - or 6 geranium seedlings. The flowers can be picked up on the square next to the mayor's office building (Böszörményi út 23–25) on 14th May from 9:00 to 12:00 or while stocks last.

House clearance disposal at Hegyvidék. FKF Nonprofit Zrt will carry out the usual annual house clearance disposal in District XII between 18 and 22 May. The disposed items will be removed at different times in each area, the residents of the district will receive information leaflets about the disposal periods in their mailbox. Only large pieces of household waste-items can be disposed of, as part of the disposal. It is forbidden to dispose of, among other things, everyday household waste, selectively collectable waste, construction debris, tires, electronic waste, green waste. The FKF does not transport hazardous waste and also does not collect it at the temporary collection points, therefore the Hegyvidéki Municipality organizes the collection of hazardous waste in its own competence - expected in June - in order to alleviate the problem.

Cogwheel train on request. After completing the track maintenance work, the cog railway will be operating again, but not in the way we have been used to so far. During low traffic periods (until 5.30 am on weekdays, until 7.30 am on weekends and public holidays, and after 10 pm every day in the evening), trains will only depart if requested by passengers. The intention to travel must be announced no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure on the telephone number of BKK customer service (+ 36-1 / 3-255-255) or on the telefogas.bkk.hu website. At the terminus in Városmajor, you can also indicate the will to travel at the dispatcher immediately before the departure time if you want to travel.

Programs for senior citizens. A variety of programs await the senior citizens living at Hegyvidék, organized by the municipality and its institutions. Those interested can take part in an outdoor painting session in the garden of MOMkult (Csörsz utca 18.) on 11th May from 11:00 to 12:00, and a light outdoor gymnastics session on May 25th from 11:00 to 12:00. On May 18, there will be a pétanque session in the Gesztenyés kert (Chestnut Garden). Participation in the programs is free of charge, but the intention to participate must be indicated at the e-mail address Kocsis.JuditIlona@hegyvidek.hu or at the telephone number + 36-70 / 938-9626.

Movies in English. The historical film Downtown Abbey: A New Era and a superhero film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, can also be seen in CinemaMOM (Alkotás utca 53.) in English (with Hungarian subtitles). On May 19, a concert film by the Grammy-winning musician couple Twenty One Pilots will be on screen.

Jazz festival. As part of the JazzFest Budapest, pianist Joey Calderazzo and bassist John Patitucci will be on the stage of MOMkult (Csörsz utca 18.) on 11th May at 8 pm, and saxophonist Kenny Garret on 12th May at 8 pm.

Melodika Project. Combining the genres of classical music, jazz, pop, reggae, flamenco and musicals, the trio of the Melodika Project will perform on 14th May at 6 pm at the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (Törpe utca 2.). The performance is admission free in the framework of the "Thank you, Hungary" program, but registration is required (info@kulturalisszalon.hu, + 36-1 / 202-2509).
