NOTICE of the local government of Hegyvidék ON new emergency MEASURES in the district regarding the novel coronavirus epidemic

  • A Help & Support Centre has been established in the Hegyvidék district to coordinate assistance for senior residents over 70 living in the district. The Help & Support Center, headed by Deputy Mayor Krisztina Fonti, provides assistance to senior citizens aged 70 and above living in Hegyvidék who agree to refrain from leaving their home or temporary place of residence and require assistance. Local council staff, volunteers, NGOs and youth organizations, and members of participating political organizations have joined the effort to assist the elderly. Assistants equipped with credentials and ID cards will be responsible for delivering essential food items and medicine to the elderly with minimal personal contact.
  • Starting on 18th March, on-call nursery care will be provided by the Krisztinaváros Nursery (Krisztinavárosi Bölcsőde).
  • The Félsziget Club House and the Youth Community Square will be closed from 18th March.
  • I you are planning to visit the Family Welfare Centre (Családsegítő Központ), please inquire first by phone about the services in operation.
  • Small outdoor farmers’ markets will continue to operate. However, in accordance with the decision of the Hungarian Biocultural Association, the Organic Market for Biocultural Products in Csörsz Street will be closed indefinitely from Saturday.
