The terminal of bus 21A at Normafa will be relocated

During the rehabilitation of Normafa, a key aspect was to reduce the environmental impact in the vicinity of the nature reserve. We handed over the new, upper section of Eötvös út, with which we pulled the car traffic off the ridge. We have eliminated the old asphalt parking lot next to the ski house in a protected forest area, the new paid parking lot is already waiting for the visitors on Konkoly-Thege út. The asphalted area next to the old car park also provided space for the bus 21A terminal and the bus stop, polluting the protected environment and disturbing hikers, sportsmen and excursionists. This will now cease.

From 04 September 2021, bus service 21A will move to a new stop/terminal in Normafa. The bus traffic on the old, upper section of Eötvös út will stop, the services will turn onto Konkoly-Thege út on the “new Eötvös” út built parallel to Távcső utca. The last stop of the bus 21A is located before the meeting of the two roads, those going to Normafa will be able to get off here. At this stop, we have built a reverser, but this can only be used by drivers for a maximum of one two-minute stop with the engine switched off until they return to traffic.

The Hegyvidék Municipality has built two new rest stations for drivers: the new rest station of bus 21A was built in front of the Csillebérc holiday camp on Konkoly-Thege Miklós út, the rest station of bus 21 was built in front of KFKI. Drivers can only park buses here during the required rest period.
